Sorry I haven't posted in a few days.  It has been quite busy here.  First, my poor husband had not one, but two crowns fall out of his mouth!  This poor boy has the worst dental problems, and it is all genetic.  But he got all fixed up this morning and hopefully, he won't be in any pain now.  He's 33 and has the mouth of a 60 year old.  I feel so bad for him.  Good thing we have a great dentist!

I had a meeting the the other day with a manufacturing genius, and my Sales and Marketing Officer, and it's looking good ladies!  Lots of surprises in store.  I will share when I can.  Funny story about that, we went to lunch, and I was following the waitress.  She assumed I looked so young, she said, "Looks like someone has some homework to do."  I said, actually they are here for me.  Ha!  That was fun to say!

I will introduce you to my team next week, so you can get to know everyone.  We have a stellar group of individuals working for GenMarie, really amazing people!  I don't know how I got so lucky...

I will give you a very rough peek of another piece from the Fall line.  My photographers are hard at work taking some kick butt images.  I can hardly wait to see!

Pretty right?!  Soon, I promise.

I will be closing my etsy shop come September 1st.  Etsy is for handmade items only, and once the line is manufactured, I can no longer sell there.  Not to worry, I will let you know how and where to order once I do that.  Oh, and yes, we are manufacturing right here in the good old USA.

Enjoy your day!

  1. That dress is fantastic and congrats on the manufacturing. How exciting! I just stumbled across your blog recently and your designs are beautiful!

  2. Congratulations! That is so exciting. I hope to one day be able to hire a manufacturer too, but one step at a time;) I hope you share the process with us. I would love to hear about it! Keep up the great work.

  3. What a tease!! Hey glad everything is made here in the good ole USA.

  4. That's so exciting. Can't wait to see!

  5. OMG...I will be so sad when you leave Etsy!!

I can't get on your website so I am scared I will lose you forever!!! :(

  6. Wow! That is a stunning dress!! Can't wait to see more! :)

  7. How exciting Christine! XD

Yes you will be missed on Etsy but I am happy you are moving forward in the best interest of the business and your family.

By the way, I can relate to your poor hubby with his dental issues. It is frightening sometimes so just hold his hand and be his rock, even if he is a guy, lol!

  8. Good for you! You are such an inspiration for those of us just starting out. I wish you the very best!
