Ok, first, all holiday items are 50% off! We do not have a lot left, but there is still a bit. Email me what you would like, and it will ship as soon as payment is received. There is still plenty of time before the holidays.
Second, the entire Fall line, excluding hostess items, is 20% off with free shipping. BUT...anyone can purchase from the hostess collection, and still get free shipping. Items will ship within 24 hours of payment being received, so again plenty of time to have for the holidays.
Gina just sent me over this photo of our Retro Sling Bag. There are only a few left, but take a look. Made with gorgeous Amy Butler fabric...ahh one of my favorite fabric gals.
Third, well actually fourth, I have a few more fabrics for you. I know, I was supposed to post them the other day, but, well, you know how life with kids is. I still have plenty of the fabrics posted previously, so scroll down and check it out. Same deal, $5 a yard plus shipping.

I have to share this beautiful little girl, or should I say almost young woman, Audra. She is almost 11 after all. ;) Audra is one of Penny's daughter. (Penny is one of our FC's, and so sweet, words can't explain.)
And last, we are doing something special next week here at GenMarie, and it involves all of you. I will post details tomorrow about it. I hope you all have a wonderful day!
Christine - this is an email I received from a fellow designer and we had no clue this was going on....have you heard anything on this? It affects us HUGE!
ReplyDeleteSorry if this has already been discussed but I wanted to make sure that everyone knows about this so we can rally together and get the needed changes made!
As of Feb. 10th it will be illegal to produce ANY children's item intended for children under the age of 12 that does not adhere with the new CPSIA standards. While the new CPSIA standards are very improtant to maintain the saftey of our kids toys and products, it will prevent small bus. owners and manufacturers to produce children's clothing and toys without being subjected to the $5000ish testing required by CPSIA for every item being sold.
Here is what Etsy had posted in responce (taken from an Etsy open forum where Matt is an admin)
"matt says:This Act, which will go into effect on February 10th, 2009, puts forth much more stringent safety measures for products intended for children under the age of 12.
Under the very important auspices of child safety, the Act may have grave unintended consequences: fewer choices for families who are looking for handcrafted alternatives. Many Etsy artists and craftspeople have expressed fears that they won't be able stay in business due to the burdensome cost of testing and certification pursuant to the proposed legislation. Understandably, this is am issue of great community concern:

We have drafted a letter that we will be disseminating, and urge you to use any or all of it to contact your local representatives, and let them know how you feel. No matter what, let's get the word out!

This is TERRIBLE for all of us! There is already MUCH talk behind the scenes about design groups and Etsy street team coming to an end because of the regulations.
HELP!!!!
oh, and don't forget that this isn't just an EBAY/ETSY problem... think all clothing companies, toys, baby products, etc.
We need to get this amended, ASAP!
