A Day of Remembrance...

Six years ago today, the world stood still. I can remember exactly where I was at the moment I learned the Twin Towers were attacked. The events of that day will forever be etched into my memory. My husband works only blocks from the Towers and watched them fall. He ran from them and was caught in the dust cloud. He was one of the lucky ones in New York City that day.

My sister had just started college at FIT. She and my husband were able to find each other, and were home to me that day around 5pm. Two of my loved ones were feet from this disaster. They got to come home that night. But many people never came home that evening to their families.

Every September 11th, I sit in tears and watch the memorial service on tv. I thankfully did not lose any of my loved ones that day, but I know many people who did. My heart aches for the families whose loved ones perished that day. My prayers are with them. I know I will never forget.

My Baby is 3...

Well not yet, but next week on September 20th, Ava will turn 3 years old! So sad! I remember freaking out the night before my C section being so nervous about the surgery, but I couldn't wait to see her! She's been my spitfire ever since! Yesterday, we celebrated her birthday with family and friends. The kids had a ball just running around, and the adults got to catch up. See pics from her party here.

And Saturday I got to take portraits of niece during her horseback riding lesson. I was really excited how they came out. You can see them here.

We have a winner! Thanks for playing my Fun Friday Trivia Quiz. Actually we have a few winners. I was feeling generous. Jessica, Diane & Nic!

Two Little Beauties...

Many of you ebay shoppers probably recognize this little beauty. This is Grace who models for many designers, and is the daughter of Lesli, sweettoesboutique. She is such a beautiful little girl, and a natural in front of the camera. I sent this set to Grace and she wore it to church on Sunday. I had to share how sweet she looks! Thank you Leslie for the great photo!

And this little doll is Tessa, Erin's (thevintagepearl) daughter. Erin won this set from me and sent me such lovely photos. Isn't she sweet?! Thank you Erin for the great pictures!

Father's Day Fishing Trip...

For Father's Day this year, Chris & I took his Dad and my Dad on a charter boat off Montauk Point for a fun filled day of fishing. I'd rather spend the money on something fun like this, than buying our Dad's something material. The memories we have from these outings are far more precious. Yesterday was the day of our trip. We had an absolutley perfect day weather wise. Sunny and cool in the morning, then warm by noon. Perfect seas and great fishing made for a fun day. But dopey me didn't think of putting on sunblock or bringing it, and man, I am burnt! I mean red! And sore from using muscles I don't usually use. But the boys had a great time. See pics from our day here. Like the blog makeover?
