One Last Joel Piece & A Funny Story...

Now for the funny story, well, maybe not so funny at the time. I was on the phone the other day with Leslie of Sweettoesboutique, and was walking on my lawn bare foot. This was the first time I have actually spoken to Leslie on the phone. I step, and felt like I stepped on a razor blade. I lift my foot up, and there is a bee attached to it! I have not been stung by a bee since 4 th grade! And man, I forgot how much that hurts! So Leslie, got to hear me shreek, lol. After 20 minutes of icing it, and two advil, I was feeling better. It's still a little sore two days later. I was out back today, and was looking in the grass to make sure I didn't step on anything again, lol, I had shoes on this time, and I found the little bugger dead. So that was my excitement this week.

Mom Funny...

Someone pointed this auction to me on ebay, and the story behind it was so funny. I don't know a mom that couldn't relate to this mom of six. When you think you're life is nuts with your kids, pop over here to her blog. I only have two girls as you know, and this week I felt like I had 10! They spent the entire day every day fighting with each other from sun up to sun down. Fighting over things like what tv show to watch, which polly pocket they wanted, where to sit at the table, which crayon they wanted to color with, which tube they wanted in the pool...the list goes on and on. So when you feel like you are at the end of your rope, or wishing you were (wink, wink ;)) read mom2my6pack's blog to feel better and get a good laugh!

A GenMarie Cutie's First Day of Kindergarten...

I was so excited to receive this picture from one of my sweet customers, Alicia. These are her two little ones, Rachel and Jonathan. This was Rachel's first day of kindergarten! How exciting! Being a former teacher the first day of school was always special for me. And what did Rachel want to wear her first day? Her Fish Whimsy set! Thanks so much Alicia for sharing this picture with me! I am so excited to have shared in Rachel's big day!

I was so excited to collaborate with Brandi, AdyBittyBoutique, for this Sidekicks launch. She is so sweet and very talented. Catching Up...

Sorry I have been quiet the last week. So much going on. I had a root canal. Fun, fun. Actually it wasn't that bad. Better than I thought. At least now the pain on the left side of my mouth is gone.

Look what we found in our backyard!

Well it wasn't just like this. We found the nest after that storm I told you about. So we saved it. Then a week later I was outside in the backyard with the girls and spotted this egg next to our big pine tree. I didn't touch it for a day just in case, but it didn't look like this little egg would ever become anything. So I put it in the nest next to the tree. The girls kept asking me when it was going to hatch. Poor little birdie.

This was a cute picture of Emma. She had been playing hard all day, swimming, bike riding, and of course she said she wasn't tired. Next thing I look over at her and this is what I see.

Guess she finally was pooped out. My mom has a picture of me falling asleep the same way when I was little.
