Two New Listings

First a random thought. We had one heck of a storm here last week. A tornado actually touched down 5 minutes from my home! That is very unusual here in NY.

Here is a fun set I collaborated with Erin on. I love these Japanese imports! Search tvp to find Erin's fabulous bracelet.

And another fun collaboration for the Bowbellas Halloween launch. Search bowbellas for the M2M bows from too*precious*bows and sister set from luv2sewsmock. I just love this sweet Alexander Henry fabric! See my set here.

Sunny Days

"Sunny days sweeping the clouds away, on our way to where the air is sweet, can you tell me how to get, how to get to Sesame Street..."

We just got back from a weekend of camping with my brother-in-law, sister-in-law and their 3 little ones. We went camping in their new camper at Yoga Bear Campsite in Elmer, NJ. We spent all day Saturday at Sesame Place! The kids had a great time. We left here Friday afternoon and after a 4 hour drive, gotta love NY traffic, we arrived at the campsite. We spent the evening cooking out, and sitting by the fire. There is nothing like yummy s'mores, roasted marshmellows and a nice glass of wine.

After a night of very little sleep, thanks Ava, lol, we were off to Sesame Place! We took the girls two years ago and they had a blast. The weather was hot and perfect for a day at a water park.

The kids all loved having lunch with their friends from Sesame Street. Emma & Ava were in a frenzy running around to say hi to all of the characters.

The sweetest thing was my niece Amelia who just turned one playing pat-a-cake with Ernie. Their faces were just priceless! You can see more pictures here.

We got back to the campsite around 10pm, and the kids were all asleep. Yeah!!! So we made a nice fire, had a few drinks and laughed our tails off. Chris & his brother were taking a stick with an amber on the end, and making circles in the air. Do you remember doing that with sparklers, writing your name in the air??? Then they progressed to some ninja moves, and Nicole & I were peeing in our pants it was so funny. We made some great memories that we will forever cherish.

The Fray!

I went with my good friend last night to see The Fray and they rocked! It was the best concert ever! Not only are these guys amazingly talented and super hot, they are funny as heck. They are such a laid back group of guys, and you can tell they are loving what they are doing.

The show was originally scheduled for last Wednesday. It was at our outdoor amphitheatre. And wouldn't you know, we sit through the first 2 opening acts, and it was raining a little, then when they are setting up for The Fray, is starts pouring, and thundering and lightening. Finally after a 1/2 hour they canceled the show, and we waded through 3 inches of water to my car. We were drenched! I drove home pantless because my jeans felt like they just came out of the wash without being spun. That would have been a fun one to explain if I had gotten pulled over!

So the show was rescheduled for last night. Well since we figured some people wouldn't come back, we grabbed seats closer to the stage. Our original seats were way up in the boonies. We sweated it out every time someone walked up to where we were sitting. But it worked out. Now we weren't greedy, we didn't go really close, just closer. Normally I wouldn't even try this, but I guess I was feeling lucky last night. I figured what was the harm in trying. After all we were just two mommas out for some fun!

They are about to come out, and the stage is dark. Then you see on the screen behind the stage a green heartbeat line like on a heart monitor signifying Grey's Anatomy, and the crowd goes nuts! Towards the end of the show, they do an absolutely hysterical rendition of Hips Don't Lie by Shakira. So funny. And the very last song, is my favorite, Look After You, and towards the end of the song he brakes into the chorus of Wonderwall by Oasis. It was an amazing show!

Kids & Water...

What is it with kids and water? Saturday afternoon, I am out in the backyard with the girls. They are in their bathing suits, and wanted to play with the hose. So I let them. What harm can they do, right? Ha, I should have known better with Ava.

They were done playing with the hose, so I thought, so I went in to get Ava a diaper. We are still working on potty training. In the short time I was gone, my little Ava took the hose, and sprayed into the house. I come down to a table soaked with water, all of my machines are wet, everything is soaked! I am flipping out! Patterns, fabrics, I am having heart failure. It was all I could do not to flip out on her, so I sent her & Emma to play on the swings, while I cleaned up the monsoon. This was really not funny at the time. I wiped down all 3 of my sewing machines, put my patterns in the sun to dry and mopped up the floor. Thankfully all of my machines work. I let them dry for a few hours. I would have died if they didn't. Lesson learned, no more hose period! How was your weekend, lol?
